MakeaMatch
How it Works
Meet great people to play with — and make it easy to actually schedule the game.
1) Pick your sports + style
Choose the sports you play so your feed focuses on what matters. Set your style (Casual → Competitive). Competitive players can optionally select a rating.
2) Set location + radius (travel-ready)
Add Home coordinates + radius to enable “Within radius” filtering across Play and place pickers. If you travel, enable “Use current location” so matching focuses on where you are now. Many pages also support a temporary radius override (does not change your profile).
3) Add or pick a Place
Choose a saved Place, create one, or use an impromptu location text. Places can be favorited and opened in maps.
4) Post a Play Request (or keep it “Anytime”)
Choose sport, vibe/style, optional skill range (competitive), timing, and players needed. Your post appears in PlayFeed for eligible people to request.
5) Invite directly with Quick Play
Want an impromptu game? Invite one or more playmates directly. Each invite becomes a Match with a dedicated response page.
6) Use Groups for private pods
Create or join a Group, invite members, promote admins, transfer ownership, and use “Quick Play this group” to send one invite to all members (except you).
7) Respond in Inbox + stay notified
Inbox shows matches and history. In-app notifications keep you in the loop. You can control notification settings per-event, and enable/disable Email/SMS globally. Email delivery is active via Smtp2Go; SMS is planned for later (Twilio-ready).
